I've been thinking about her And how she isn't a very Earthly girl Her face tends to linger And that makes all the difference in the world With her eyes closed Sitting in a river with her skin against the sun Let the gas station sit and wait The words are pouring out of her new mind She's in the first throws of a better state And she's not gonna let it go this time She found out who she was and who she was meant to be And how the pieces fit together And how people love each other But she's still getting better, her sadness lifting off the paper days She's got a lot to do She's been foraging for herself in the haze 'Cause she's always in love with everything she does, does she need to speak? And though she often bleeds and she's always in need, she is far from weak 'Cause she's always in love with everything she does, does she need to speak? And though she often bleeds and she's always in need, she is far from weak She sings like this Ba ba ba ra ba ba Ba ba ba ra ba ba Ba ba ba ra ba ba Ba ba ba ra ba ba

Come over, see the rainbows in the little lakes Come over and touch the world, it's peeling off in flakes Aluminum seashells Fantastic plastic tumbleweeds Water sullied with those little beads The bones of trees in the reeds Every morning, the happy gases block out the sun We'll watch the races as the raindrops run And it'll be so good for everyone Come over and hear the roar of the dinosaur trains Come over across the ocean of rocks and stains Come over and feel the breathing of the sullen dirt Come over and feel the breezes running up your shirt All these people They got their smiles the wrong way around They're surrounded by lights and sounds And yet they seem content to look straight down I may be tripping But soon the chemicals will all wear out And then I'll remember what I'm so sad about I wish I tried harder in the Boy Scouts

You threw a bucket in the water Let it sink beneath the daughter Of a man who never paid attention to the things he made I'll fish the bucket from the creek And patch it so it doesn't leak I'll wrap it up with tape I found it buried deep beneath the ground Do you ever run around? Run away from the things you say Do you ever scream and shout? Very loud all around Do you ever run around? Run away from the things you say Do you ever scream and shout? Very loud all around

about

My first extended-play. Recorded during the Summer of 2021 when I was beginning to receive treatment for depression, this EP is sorta about the little things I was feeling at the time - this strange, fuzzy optimism you get when you've given yourself nothing to do but meditate, play video games and think about what you wanna do with your life. My AC was creating constant white noise that kept me at ease, and I couldn't leave the house without meeting someone who's been waiting for me. It's almost as if I restarted something, I had to reintroduce myself to people who've known me since I was born. Strange days.
